His Living Word

What a beautiful picture God has created for our enjoyment. This pure, clean, and refreshing river meandering through the white snow cover woodland providing for every need of the local wildlife. The ducks appeared to have no concerns, living their best life just as God had intended for them, no worries, just trusting in their creator knowing He will provide for all their needs.

This reminded me of the river of Living water flowing from the throne room of our Living God. Crystal clear, pure, clean, and refreshing. Flowing full of the love our Savior has for us, providing all that we need to live the life He has chosen for us.

I have always picture the Living Water as gently flowing through plush green pastures and quaint wooded areas, always in any season except winter. Yet here I am enjoying at same picture in the cold winter months and still seeing God’s beauty. I find that God is always enlightening us if we are receptive to His teaching. Here I was comfortable in my own little vision and God decided to add the forth season.

God’s living water is always flowing from His throne room no matter what season we find ourselves in. A season of abundance or in the wilderness, just heading in or just coming out, all four seasons. His living water never changes, it provides for all the spiritual needs of our life. If we are not already actively in His river we can dive in at any time. There is never an instance that we are not welcome to participate. This water provides spiritual cleansing, washing away our sins and impurities. The sustenance and renewal for out daily walk with Him. This living water also continually connects us through faith in Jesus to eternal life, and links us to the works of the Holy Spirit, providing His power to live a life for His glory. Through actively living in His river we have the gifts and wisdom to bring His kingdom here where we live. So, how do we jump into the life giving water? I believe its by daily seeking His face, the wisdom for today and surrendering our will to His will. God has such an amazing life of blessings for those who love and follow Him. He loves us so much that He allowed Jesus to be our substitute sacrifice for our sins, there is no greater love. I would like to encourage you to seek His face today, rest in His presence, and dive into the life He has planned for you from before the foundations of the world.

Living Water. Its very name gives away what it will do for you if you are will to drink deeply from it. Today is that day. You are so loved and valuable, don’t let anyone tell you differently.
